About Stagedoor Theatre Productions
Stagedoor Theatre Productions is a friendly and inclusive amateur musical theatre and performing arts society, dedicated to producing high-quality pantomimes, cabarets, and a variety of other theatrical performances.
Registered as a charity on 25 June 2020 (Charity Number: 1190113), the society is passionate about making theatre accessible, affordable, educational, and enjoyable for everyone involved.
With both adult and children’s sections, Stagedoor provides opportunities for performers of all ages and experience levels to develop their skills, build confidence and enjoy the many benefits of performing arts in a supportive environment.
As a non-profit organisation, any surplus generated from productions is reinvested into future performances, helping the society continue to grow and provide opportunities for its members and audiences alike. Stagedoor also supports its own charitable initiative, Share a Dream, which raises funds to create special experiences for families who have faced trauma or serious illness, or just need a little act of kindness to make them smile.
Community support and charitable giving are at the heart of everything Stagedoor does. In 2023, the society raised an incredible £1,500 for local charities, with Bolton Hospice chosen as its principal charity. This was in recognition of the exceptional care and support provided to Lauren and her family during her battle with cancer. Lauren remains a cherished part of the Stagedoor family and her memory continues to inspire the society’s work.
Although officially established in 2014, Stagedoor’s story began with the success of its first pantomime, Aladdin, in December 2013. The overwhelmingly positive response from audiences and participants inspired the formation of the society, which has since gone on to produce annual pantomimes and other productions featuring both its children’s and adult sections.
Whether you’re interested in performing on stage, helping backstage, volunteering, or simply becoming part of a welcoming theatrical community, Stagedoor Theatre Productions would be delighted to hear from you. There are opportunities to get involved at every level, whether for a single production or as a long-term member of the Stagedoor family.
